PCs where Windows 10 was installed as an upgrade on top of an existing Windows 7 installation had no problems printing using older hardware and Smart Label software. But we were never able to successfully print using the Smart Label 6.x or 7.x software to SLP-100, SLP-200 and SLP-400 series printers on PCs with clean, 'bare metal' Windows 10 installations.

What is the error message that you receive while printing?
How is the printer connected to the pc?
What is the error message that you get while trying to install the drivers?

I suggest you to try the printer diagnostic utility. You may download it from the manufacture’s website and check if it helps.

If issue still persists, I suggest you to perform the methods below and check if it helps:

Method 1: Printer Troubleshooter

The built-in Printer Troubleshooter can automatically detect and fix most of the incorrect settings and errors that could cause issues while printing. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if there is any issue with the sound. Refer top these steps:

Open Control Panel
Click on Troubleshooting and select the view all option on the left pane.
Click on Printer troubleshooter and follow the prompts.

Method 2: RunHardware Troubleshooter and see if it helps to resolve the issue. Please follow the below steps.

Type Troubleshooting in the search box and hit enter.
Click on Troubleshooting tab.
Click on view all option on the upper left corner.
Select the Hardware and Device options from the list.
Click Next to run the Hardware and Device Troubleshooter.

Method 3: Check incompatibility mode.

Download the drivers from your printer manufacture website for Windows 10, if not available.

Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

a. Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website.

b. Right-click on the driver setup file and click on ‘properties’.

c. Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation.

d. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.
